Privacy Policy

Last updated October 27, 2026

This policy explains what information AI Career ("AI Career", "we") collects, how it is used, and the choices you have.

Information we handle

  • Client information provided by or for a client: name, email address, resume, work history, target job titles, location or ZIP code, job-search preferences and answers to questionnaires.
  • Job information collected from employers' own public career pages, and the fit scores AI Career calculates for each client.
  • Membership applications submitted on this website: name, email address, and anything else you choose to enter (phone, location, the kind of work you are looking for, a message). They are used only to review the application and contact you about it.
  • Client accounts: a client signs in with the email address on file and a password provided by AI Career. The password is stored only in scrambled (hashed) form that cannot be turned back into the password. We also record when the client last signed in and how much AI processing their dashboard used each day.
  • Service records such as when reports and emails were sent.

How we use it

Only to provide the AI Career service: finding and scoring job openings, preparing reports, sending job update emails and progress summaries to clients, and creating and reading the questionnaires described below. We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.

AI processing

To compare resumes with job postings and to prepare suggestions, AI Career sends the relevant text (for example resume content and job descriptions) to third-party AI model providers through their business APIs. That information is sent only to perform the requested analysis. AI Career does not use client information to train AI models.

Google account access

AI Career connects to the operator's own Google account, with the operator's permission, using Google OAuth. It requests only these permissions:

  • Gmail – send email (gmail.send): to send job update emails and reports from the operator's account to clients. AI Career cannot read, search or delete messages in that mailbox.
  • Google Forms – create and edit forms (forms.body): to create questionnaires for clients.
  • Google Forms – read responses (forms.responses.readonly): to read the answers clients submit to those questionnaires, so they can be used in the client's resume and job-search work.

The OAuth tokens that grant this access are stored only on AI Career's server, in files readable only by the application. They are never sent to web browsers, never sold, and never shared with advertisers or data brokers. Information received from Google is used only to provide the features above.

AI Career's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

The Google account owner can revoke AI Career's access at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions. After access is revoked, AI Career can no longer send email or work with Google Forms for that account.

Where information is stored and how it is protected

AI Career runs on a cloud hosting provider (Railway). Information is stored on that provider's persistent storage and transmitted over HTTPS. Administrative access requires a password and a time-based authenticator code. A signed-in client can see and change only their own information, and their sign-in ends after 12 hours.

Sharing

We share information only with the service providers needed to run AI Career (cloud hosting, AI model providers, and Google for email and forms), or when required by law.

Retention and your choices

Client information is kept while the client is a member. A client can ask to see, correct or delete their information at any time by contacting us (see Contact below). Job update emails are turned on when a client's membership begins. A client can stop them at any time with the unsubscribe link included in every job update email, or by contacting us.

Children

AI Career is a service for job seekers and is not directed at children under 13.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new date.
